Outdoor Adventure Check list

If you and your group are staying with OAR as part of your trip, please help us out by following these few simple rules while you're here:

1. Please do not cut down any trees. You are welcome to gather dead wood from the ground, bring your own firewood, or purchase some from the Outpost.

2. Quiet time is Midnight.

3. Please remember to put all trash in appropriate receptacles.

4. Please stay within OAR’s boundaries. The surrounding woods are privately owned.

What to bring if staying in OAR Bunkhouse:

(Each bunkhouse contains full size refrigerator, sink, counter top space, microwave, along with an outside charcoal grill and fire pit.)

Water container
Garbage bags (keep a few extra for wet clothes)
Towels
Toiletries
Matches
Sleeping bags
Hot plate/campstove
Bug Spray
Pillow
Firewood (Wood can also be purchased at the OAR Outpost or gathered)

What to bring if camping at OAR:

Tent/Hammock
Tarp(s)
Firewood/matches
Water container
Garbage bags (keep a few extra for wet clothes)
Towels
Toiletries
Matches
Sleeping bags/pillows
Portable stoves/campstove
Bug Spray
Lantern/flashlights

What to wear whitewater rafting:

T-Shirt
Gym shorts/leggings or Swim Trunks
Ladies--Wear Bathing Suit under Shorts and T-Shirt
River Shoes- sandals with straps (Teva's, Chacos's, etc) or old sneakers. No flip flops please.
In warm weather cotton is your friend.... it gets wet and keeps you cool!
Avoid denim – it gets stiff and uncomfortable when it is wet.

Synthetic Top/Bottom (Wool, Fleece, Polypropylene)
Wool or Acrylic Sweater
Wool Socks
River Shoes, Sneakers, or Wetsuit Booties
Try to avoid cotton. Once it gets wet, it stays wet and cold.
OAR has spray jackets and pants to wear on cool days. (No Extra Charge!)
Wetsuits can be rented for an additional $6 per person.
